VICTORIA & ALBERT MUSEUM – LONDON DESIGN FESTIVAL FREDRIKSON STALLARD ACQUIRED BY V&A MUSEUM
September 1, 2011 9:00 amTwo of Fredrikson Stallard’s works have been acquired by the Victoria and Albert museum for their permanent collection, thanks to funding from the Outset Design Fund. The pieces chosen are Fredrikson Stallard’s now iconic Table#1 together with another of their seminal works, the Pyrenees sofa. The pieces are now on view in the new acquisitions gallery as part of the London Design Festival. Table#1 will be later become a final chapter in the permanent 20th Century collection, and the Pyrenees sofa will also form part of next years exhibition ”British Design 1948 – 2012”, which will coincide with the Olympic Games in London.
